Bio
Ryan is THRILLED to be a part of the GCM team! He first joined Green City Market as a volunteer in the summer of 2023. After a fulfilling season of helping educate children in club sprouts, Ryan was given the opportunity to assist GCM’s mission further by joining the team as Operations Coordinator in July 2024.
Ryan has always had a connection to incredible food and sustainable practices. Working in kitchens from the age of 14, he developed a passion for working with delicious ingredients. Working with the Alinea Group here in Chicago allowed him to explore culinarily while overseeing how waste was created. Most recently, he worked as a hospitality consultant at Deloitte and Ecolab helping dozens of restaurants cut down on their waste and increase costs through optimizing their procedures and practices.
When not at the market, Ryan loves to be in nature or in the kitchen! He loves rock climbing and cooking up something delicious with market produce.
